About Coach Blake Riley
Over the last few years, Coach Blake has helped many runners from beginners to elites get faster in the sport of running. After working under many great coaches, Coach Blake looks to share his knowledge of the sport with many runners through Team Southeast Track Club and create a team that works together to achieve each and every runner’s goals.
Blake started running competitively as a sophomore at Riverview High school where he later set a school record in cross country and helped lead his team to a regional title and multiple state championship appearances. Within his time at Riverview High school, he led his team to its first ever regional title and back to back district championships.
He followed up his high school career and went on to receive a full scholarship to run for Nova Southeastern University. Following NSU, Coach Blake later transferred to Florida State, in which he trained with the cross country team in the summer of 2017. After a fall season of training he went on in finding his passion for the half marathon; Blake then began his career on the road. In his first year of his road racing career, Coach Blake placed 1st overall at the First Watch Half Marathon and Sarasota Music Half Marathon,
Throughout his running career and due to his many successes with road racing, Blake always has been asked about recommendations from his community on how to become a faster, stronger, and healthier athlete. Runners coming to him for advice sparked his passion for creating a team within the community to work together and represent Sarasota county, and in the summer of 2018 the idea Southeast Track Club was born! The Southeast Track Club will be launched in January of 2019 and will offer runners customized coaching plans, organized group runs, partnerships with local companies, an exciting team atmosphere, and private training sessions!
Coach Blake will continue his competitive running career while working together with his team in Southeast Track Club while pursuing a qualifying time for one of the upcoming Olympic trials for the marathon.
